Chromebook Help

Students are provided a new chromebook in grades 3 and 7 for instructional use.  Students that take their Chromebooks home are responsible for charging the Chromebook and ensuring that it is ready for use in school learning each day. Chromebooks that are assigned to go home come with a school issued case. The purpose of the case is to protect the Chromebook, especially while the Chromebook is being transported. The Chromebook must be transported in the protective case at all times.  No stickers or any other items should be attached to the Chromebook itself (there is a charge to remove stickers).

Students at Mark T. Sheehan High School are all issued a chromebook and charger from the district to support their learning needs. Each day it is the responsibility of our students to remember to bring it to class and have it charged for their lessons. If they need it to be charged, they may drop it off in the library, where library staff will charge it for them in a secured location. If a student's chromebook gets damaged or has a technical issue they can have it repaired by district IT staff. Simply bring it to the library and the staff there will diagnose the issue, issue a temporary loaner during the repair and deliver it to IT staff. When the chromebook is repaired, you will receive an email from Mrs. Gallagher and you can come down to pick up your repaired chromebook. There is a protection plan available for the chromebook, which can be purchased in the beginning of each school year. We highly recommend it, so that if there is any accidental breakage it will cover the cost of that repair.
